Instead of clearing out the undead, new zombies kept... appearing? 🤨
We reviewed the backup files and found some interesting patterns that suggest
a fundamental misunderstanding of how the competition works.

In Plebs vs. Zombies, the goal is to remove zombies from your follow list. Your follow count should go down after each purge, not up! The backup files show the follow count increased by thousands between purges, which means new follows were being added rather than removed.
It's like trying to win a "clean your room" contest by bringing in MORE stuff from the garage. Technically you're handling more items, but... that's not quite the spirit of the challenge! 😅
The zombie percentage started at 4% and climbed all the way to 32%. For regular Nostr users actively following real people, this number should go down over time as you remove inactive accounts.
An increasing zombie percentage suggests that most of the new follows being added were... well, already zombies! It's like restocking a zombie apocalypse instead of surviving one. 🧟♂️📈

How competition scoring works:
• You scan YOUR existing follow list for zombies
• You purge the zombies you don't want to follow anymore
• Your kill count = zombies you removed from your actual follow list
• The competition rewards cleaning up real zombie problems, not creating them!
After reviewing all the data, we believe there was a fundamental
misunderstanding of how the game and competition work.
Since we can't determine the original intent, we're removing this entry
from prize eligibility to keep the competition fair for everyone else.
